Purpose

This form is used to request training for Swedwise staff. It ensures that training investments are justified, aligned with business needs and IMS competence requirements, and properly approved before commitment.

Instructions

  1. Complete Sections 1-4: Employee or manager completes request details
  2. Justify: Clearly explain business need and expected outcomes
  3. Submit for Approval: Route to manager and Resource Management
  4. Await Decision: Approval required before booking training
  5. Post-Training: Complete evaluation (SW-IMS-FRM-009) and update competence records

When to Submit a Training Request

Submit a training request when:

  • You identify a competence gap affecting job performance
  • You need certification/qualification for a customer project

Approval Timeframes

Target approval timeframes:

  • Standard Request: 5 working days
  • Urgent Request: 2 working days (subject to availability)
  • High-Cost Request (>50k SEK): 10 working days (requires CEO approval)

Plan ahead: Submit requests at least 4 weeks before desired training date to allow for approval and booking.

What Makes a Strong Request

Strong justification includes:

Cost Guidelines

Typical Approved Training Costs:

  • Technical Certifications: 10,000 - 30,000 SEK
  • Industry Conferences: 15,000 - 50,000 SEK (including travel)
  • Multi-day Courses: 20,000 - 60,000 SEK
  • Online Courses: 1,000 - 10,000 SEK
  • Webinars: 0 - 5,000 SEK

Cost thresholds may vary based on business criticality and ROI.

Training Budget

Swedwise allocates training budget based on:

Budget availability does not guarantee approvalβ€”business justification is still required.

Post-Training Expectations

  3. Apply learning in work activities

If your request is declined:
